The architecture project has been taking all my time to a point where I forget to eat, let alone update a blog. But let us not fret because when I do post, it's hopefully going to be amazing.

VUT architecture say what????

lets just say im trying out new treatments.

for my architecture project i'm referencing Edward Burtynsky

my first submission this year...

  • it is dull and flat.
  • but surely taught me to chase light.

the Art of Alfred Stieglitz

for the people who know me they know that i'm the biggest fan of Stieglitz, even though he died a long while ago....everyone has to have an inspiration, right?

so lets get on with the art of Alfred Stieglitz.

“Photographic technique is no secret and – provided the interest is there – easily assimilated. But inspiration comes from the soul and when the Muse isn’t around even the best exposure meter is very little help. In their biographies, artists like Michelangelo, da Vinci and Bach said that their most valuable technique was their ability to inspire themselves. This is true of all artists; the moment there is something to say, there becomes a way to say it”.

_ Ralph Gibson
im supposed to be doing a whole lot of reading on Ralph Gibson but really at this point nothing can get me interested

what we as photographers do is we direct or guide our attention.
one nice thing about being a young photographer is that we are "standing at the shoulders of great people" we have so much to draw inspiration from....draw inspiration, not copy from.

Ralph Gibson

some people really don't understand him, they say that he wanted to get his groove on, on pornography.
but I think nudes for him were just another way of helping people or audiences if you may, to feel aesthetic emotion.
